The Martin Jones Company designs, creates, and markets one-of-a-kind hand-built furniture for the home and office.

My name is Harley Jones and I am the master builder at Martin Jones. I am often asked how I got started building furniture for clients. I have had the pleasure of working with wood for decades. My career encompassed repairing, refinishing, and modifying furniture for interior design studios, independent interior designers, furniture stores, and homeowners. I spent over ten years managing and teaching furniture repair and maintenance for in-home services.

In 1990 I was invited to take part with over 60 volunteers in the restoration of the steamboat-ferry Minnehaha, which had lain on the bottom of Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota for 60 years. She now steams the lake close to her original route.

A few years ago, encouraged by clients and friends, I set up my own shop and hung up my sign in a small community south of the Twin Cities. Now I'm giving online customers the opportunity to order my hand-built furniture. On this site I've included a gallery of photos of furniture I've built for customers. These photos represent the carpentry and design skills I bring to a project.
